i bought a new hdd to my laptop and installed 7.10. the problem is boot screen won't appear and boot takes about 3 minutes. here is the solution; open usplash.conf(/etc/usplash.conf) file, xres and yres variables are set to xres=1280, yres=800. change them as xres=1024, and yres=768, then type sudo update-initramfs -u -k `uname -r`
i've upgraded 7.04 to 7.10 on my computer, so i didn't notice that problem before.
